Hello! My name is Vena and I'm the head tutor here at Chemology. With over 8 years of teaching experience, I have taught students from diverse backgrounds, each with different learning styles, goals, and challenges.

Over the years, I've realised that simply drilling content into students' brains and mindlessly going through exam questions is not enough. This technique might work if students only had one subject to worry about, but with the pressure of managing so many other equally challenging subjects, it just adds to their stress instead of helping them learn. I’ve seen even the brightest students crack under the immense pressure of academic demands. That’s why I’ve reshaped my teaching style to spark genuine curiosity and enjoyment in learning chemistry. Chemistry doesn’t have to be a subject they dread, instead, it can become a light, refreshing subject where students feel confident enough to excel.

To date, I have helped over 200 students achieve results they once thought were impossible. I’m proud of the hard work and commitment that both my students and I have put into making their dreams a reality.​ I started Chemology with one primary teaching philosophy:

This is why Teacher Vena personally crafted these colourful, visually appealing notes to ensure that students stay engaged and motivated throughout the lesson.
Each topic is explained in a clear, concise matter, no unnecessary fluff, just what students need to understand and remember. Followed by targeted practice questions to help them reinforce their knowledge on the spot.

After each topic is taught, Teacher Vena consolidates learning with topical practice worksheets that she herself designed to help students apply concepts and master key exam skills.
Through this structured blend of concise notes and purposeful practice, students develop lasting understanding and feel confident walking into any exam.
